Welcome!

I’ve decided to revise my site a bit. While my books are a thing and you can see them over on the side bar there, I’m changing the focus to be more about developmental editing, writing advice, and the related bits of TTRPG design that overlap. But don’t worry, this isn’t a game design site. I’m just crossing some disciplines, is all. Being a long time DM is a great hobby for both editing and writing.

My blog is the meat of this site, it’s the engine I’m hoping to rev up as I’d really like a place to talk about writing topics I’m interested in. An essay space really. Though it might have some short fiction as I post experiments and lessons (for myself and others.)

Lastly, if you’d like to hire me, my main jobs are developmental editor and book marketer. More on those coming soon when I have the pages for them ready. In the meantime, there’s a contact form for inquiries.

In case you’re wondering about “this guy with only 3 books”… well, that’s because I’ve been a professional developmental editor for 17 years yet travisbach.net was primarily an author website up until now, so I just didn’t talk about editing much here.

We’re going to change that. I’ve worked on multiple millions of words at this point in my career and have piled up a lot of fun lessons-learned about writing. Ideas I haven’t seen elsewhere.

So yeah, poke around, maybe bookmark me, maybe pop in from time to time to see what’s been cooking. I’m keeping it real pre-dead-internet here, such as I can.
